I Scared A Russian Babushka

We traveled from Mordovia to the neighboring republic of Chuvashia by bus, stopping at several Soviet-era bus stations along the way. We crossed the border, arrived in Alatyr, explored its market and streets, and searched for a hotel. We compared several rooms at the Zarya Hotel and chose one, discovering the unusual local habit of hiding towels under the bedcovers.
