I Slept in a Strangers Home in Iraq

We travel from Baghdad to the Mesopotamian marshlands, passing many checkpoints before reaching Chibaish, where we explore the villages and travel by boat through the wetlands. We buy fish at the local market, share a meal with villagers in a reed house, watch the sunset, and spend the night in a local family's home. The next morning, we see the water buffalo and visit the market, where we are eventually stopped and taken to a police station.
