I Spent 24 Hours Above the Hanging Villages of Taiz, Yemen

We traveled from Aden to Taiz, driving through mountains and discovering the city’s historic mosques, fortresses, museums, and traditional culture. We visited coffee farms, learned about efforts to revive Yemeni coffee production, and saw the widespread cultivation of qat. We also enjoyed local food, met welcoming residents, and watched traditional clothing and the women’s malalah dance before exploring Cairo Citadel and its underground passages.
