I Spent a Day in Haiti's Most Dangerous Slum

We travel to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and explore dangerous areas of the city, including the gang-controlled slum of Cité Soleil. We pass checkpoints, meet armed gang members and local residents, visit an abandoned hospital, and observe the harsh living conditions, poverty, trash, and lack of basic services. We also learn about Haiti’s history, slavery, the Haitian Revolution, and Vodou while documenting daily life in the community.
