I Spent a Day in La's Most Dangerous Hood

We explored Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles with Dante and Heidi from Midnight Mission, meeting residents and learning about life in the encampments. We discussed homelessness, addiction, mental illness, violence, poverty, housing shortages, and controversial city sweeps while hearing personal stories from people living on the streets. We also visited outreach and health services and helped one resident move her tent.
