I Spent A Day With India's Tattoo Tribe

We traveled to rural Chhattisgarh in India to meet the Ramnami tribe, whose members dedicate themselves to Lord Ram and tattoo his name on their bodies. We visited their homes, lake, temple, and cemetery, learned about their traditions and the generational decline of full-body tattoos, and shared meals and conversations with the community. We then watched a hand-poked tattoo ritual at the temple before joining the tribe by the water for singing and dancing around a bonfire.
