I Tried to Climb Africa's Tallest Mountain (Kilimanjaro)

We began our nine-day trek in Arusha, shopping for supplies before setting off through Kilimanjaro’s rainforest, moorland and high-altitude landscapes. After becoming ill at around 4,000 meters, we rested and continued with acclimatization hikes, while learning about the porters and enjoying the team’s food and songs. We climbed the Western Breach overnight and finally reached the summit, before returning to the real world with an unforgettable sense of having pushed beyond our comfort zone.
