I Visited World's Most Dangerous Slum (in Venezuela)

We visited Petare in Caracas with local friends and a guide named Marquito, exploring its steep stairways, homes, shops, streets, and views across the sprawling neighborhood. We learned about daily life, work, poverty, water collection, crime, and how the area has become safer, while meeting welcoming residents and children playing in the streets. Although we experienced a tense moment near a basketball court, we left feeling that Petare was more vibrant and safe than we had expected.
