I Was Trafficked Through The World's Deadliest Jungle

We traveled north from Medellín to Colombia’s Caribbean coast, where we joined migrants heading toward the Darién Gap and searched for a way across. After being arrested and expelled from Panama on our first attempt, we returned and entered the jungle with cartel-linked guides, crossing rivers, climbing steep mountains, and following blue markers through dangerous terrain. We witnessed extreme hardship, discarded belongings, dead bodies, and exhausted families before continuing through the jungle in a tropical storm.
