In Mauritania, I Ate On The Floor With My Hands

We visited a local home outside Nouakchott, Mauritania, where we watched a traditional meal being prepared and dressed in a boubou. We washed our hands, then ate chicken, fries, carrots, dates, and bread while sitting on the floor and using our hands. After the meal, we learned how traditional Mauritanian tea is prepared and relaxed with the family.
