Inside Papua New Guinea: Land of 860 Languages

We explore Papua New Guinea and learn about its extraordinary cultural and linguistic diversity, including its 860 languages, tribal land, and largely rural population. We travel through mountainous terrain, coastal lowlands, and remote areas with few paved roads or tourist facilities. We also discuss the challenges of bringing the country’s many tribes together, including ongoing tribal fighting and its impact on development.
