We traveled through the Brazilian Amazon, exploring Manaus, tasting unusual local fruits, and visiting Indigenous communities to eat foods such as fish, turtle, ants, and cassava flour. We saw the meeting of the rivers, learned about piranha fishing, and followed a local fisherman’s life on the water. In Belém, we visited the world’s largest açaí market, observed how the fruit is harvested and processed, and tasted it with seafood and crab.
