Investigating Venezuela Before Maduro Was Captured

We arrived alone in Caracas after travelling from Peru and explored the city to see how Venezuela was coping with its economic crisis. We visited the January 23 barrio, spoke with residents about community safety, saw Chávez-themed murals and social programs, and observed how people made a living selling goods on the streets. We then travelled to Petare, explored its historic centre, met local residents, and began heading into the hillside neighbourhoods on a motorbike.
