We spend two weeks camping and exploring Socotra, a remote island in the Gulf of Aden, before taking a boat to a secluded beach. There, we meet Hamid, who lives alone in a modest shelter, works as a fisherman, and cares for his goats. After spending the day with him, we realize that his isolated life requires hard work and is far less romantic than the fantasy of living like Robinson Crusoe.
