Living with Family in Mongolia (Camel Herders)

We drive from Ulaanbaatar through remote towns, dirt tracks, the White Stupa, and the Flaming Cliffs toward the Gobi Desert. After getting lost several times, we reach a camel-herding family’s camp near the Hangaren Elz sand dunes, where we are welcomed with milk and snacks and help prepare a traditional horhog meal. The next morning, we ride camels and accompany Zorigo as he takes his herd to a nearby oasis among the singing sands.
