Luang Prabang to Vientiane to Bangkok

We took a VIP sleeper bus from Luang Prabang to Vientiane, but the winding roads made it difficult to sleep and we arrived at a random bus stop before dawn. We spent the day moving between coffee and pizza shops while waiting for our overnight train to Bangkok. After paying an unexpected border fee, we boarded the 14-hour train and settled into our sleeper berths for the journey to Bangkok.
