Mating Giant Tortoises & 25 Day Old Baby! Galapagos Islands Cruise Day 4

We traveled by boat and bus to Sierra Negra Volcano on Isabela Island, then hiked to the top of its enormous active crater. After returning to the boat for lunch and a break, we visited a flamingo lagoon and the Charles Darwin Station, where we saw mating tortoises and a 25-day-old baby. We learned how introduced animals threaten young tortoises and how the breeding center raises them until they can be released into the wild, then we explored the town and walked along the beach at sunset.
