Meeting the Pygmy Tribe in Central African Republic

We traveled southwest of Bangui into a remote forest and walked for hours to spend 24 hours with a Pygmy community. We learned about their forest-based way of life, including hunting, gathering, traditional homes, tattoos, and their hopes for schools, healthcare, and clean water. We also witnessed them dancing and singing around the fire throughout the night, and we felt warmly welcomed by the community.
