My Corona Virus Remote Island "Quarantine" (Day 1)

We explain why we stayed on Socotra Island after international flights were cancelled during the coronavirus outbreak, choosing to remain in a remote place rather than travel through several airports. We describe the island's location between Yemen and Somalia, our situation with local friends, and the uncertainty of how long we will remain there. We then show our first campsite, the nearby village, the hills reaching the Arabian Sea, and a lagoon behind the rocks.
