My First 24 Hours in Afghanistan

We spent our first 24 hours exploring Mazar Sharif in northern Afghanistan with our local friend Noor. We visited the Blue Mosque, walked through bustling bazaars, tried street food and traditional Afghan dishes, and met local people. We also observed everyday life, including the use of donkeys for transport and the city’s largely traditional, cash-based society.
