New Zealand Road Trip: Ep 1 - Backpacking the North Island

We began our North Island road trip in Wellington, revisiting places from the past, exploring the city, and visiting Mount Victoria and the Wētā Workshop. We then drove off the beaten track to Vinegar Hill, where we went river tubing, learned about the event’s history, and shared a traditional Māori hangi. After a stop in Napier, we continued toward Tokomaru Bay to experience Matt’s ancestral region and learn more about Māori culture.
