Our Favorite Stop On The Trans-Siberian! Day 7

We continued our DIY food tour in Ulan-Ude, tried local fish ceviche, and had a disappointing lunch after an unexpected charge appeared on our bill. We took a bus to a Buddhist monastery on a hill, where we explored the grounds, learned about local customs, and enjoyed views of the city without any other tourists. We later bought food for our upcoming 64-hour train journey and prepared to continue across Siberia.
