Our scariest day of van life. (winter in Yellowstone)

We drove from Nebraska toward Yellowstone through a dangerous snowstorm in South Dakota, sliding on icy roads and nearly hitting trucks before finally making it through the night. After only a few hours of sleep in subzero temperatures, we explored Yellowstone by snowcoach, seeing bison, Old Faithful, Beehive Geyser, and other geothermal features. We visited Biscuit Basin and Grand Prismatic Spring, learned about the park’s geysers and hot springs, and ended the day watching several geysers erupt at once.
