Return To The Belarus Chernobyl Zone...With Shopping Bags

We return to the Chernobyl exclusion zone near Vetka to visit the elderly mother and son who previously welcomed us into their home. Along the way, we pass buried villages, war memorials, radiation warning signs and abandoned roads before crossing the forest and swamp with bags of food and vodka. We eventually find the family, give them the supplies, share a warm reunion and speak with them about their lives and wartime memories.
