We watched the hot-air balloons at sunrise before crashing our drone into a rock and exploring Göreme Open Air Museum. We then hiked through the Red or Rose Valley, ate lunch in an ancient cave church, and learned about the area’s volcanic landscape and pigeon holes. When heavy rain arrived, we got lost in the valley and took shelter while trying to find our way back in time for our shuttle.
