Solo Female Traveller in Afghanistan (What is Kabul Like)

We flew to Kabul after preparing in Istanbul and met our guide, then explored the city while visiting a music shop, a kite shop, a traditional bone fixer, the bird market, an old café, a bakery, and the Queen’s Palace. We walked through Kabul’s streets, learned about local life, flew fighting kites, and shared a vegetarian dinner with Gull’s family. We found Kabul more lively, colorful, welcoming, and relaxed than we had expected.
