Surviving 8 Days on a Tiny Motorbike in Peru

We trained on tiny manual motorbikes in Ayacucho before setting off on a 1,000-kilometer journey through the Peruvian Andes toward the Amazon. Along the first day, we navigated remote mountain roads, visited ancient ruins, crashed, dealt with repeated mechanical problems, and eventually reached Tambo after riding in the dark. The next morning, we faced illness and more bike trouble, but after visiting a mechanic and stopping for lunch in San Miguel, we continued through steep mountain passes and breathtaking high-altitude valleys.
