Surviving A Night In America's Largest Sand Dunes (crazy sand storm)

We hiked through the massive sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park to reach the tallest dune in North America and secured a backcountry permit to camp overnight. After battling steep sand, strong wind, rain, and cold, we found a sheltered spot and slept on the dunes using an emergency shelter and sleeping bags. The next morning, we discovered possible mountain lion tracks near our camp and explored the dunes before heading back.
