Surviving Norway: Arctic Training in the Star Wars Location of Hoth

We travelled from Oslo to Finse, a remote railway station beside a frozen lake on Norway’s Hardangervidda plateau and a filming location for Hoth in Star Wars. We learned about Ernest Shackleton and his historic expeditions, tried dog sledding, and prepared our equipment for cross-country skiing and spending a night in a snow hole. We then began skiing across the snow toward the site where we would build our shelter.
