Surviving on Bitcoin for 48 Hours in El Salvador

We traveled to El Salvador for 48 hours to see whether we could survive using only Bitcoin. We bought Bitcoin at an ATM and used it to pay for coffee, pupusas, clothing, a hotel, food, gasoline, and McDonald’s. We also visited Bitcoin Beach, spoke with locals about the benefits and concerns surrounding cryptocurrency, and explored the country’s food, beaches, and hospitality.
