We drove three hours to a remote sandstone cliff filled with ancient caves and Buddhas, where we also encountered aggressive monkeys. We visited a pagoda containing more than 550,000 Buddhas, then explored Mingwei, a massive unfinished pagoda, a historic bell, a beautiful white pagoda, and the world’s longest teakwood bridge. We finished our last full day on the ship with a horse-carriage ride, a sunset boat trip, and coconuts.
