We travel around Egypt, including Aswan, Cairo, Alexandria, the Pyramids of Giza and the Nile, and observe that very few people wear masks or socially distance despite the ongoing pandemic. We speak with Egyptians about their views on COVID-19, the hot weather, religion, culture and the country’s relatively low reported numbers, while also noting how empty the tourist sites are. We finish by visiting Abul Hawa near Aswan and talking with twin sisters from Alexandria about their city.
