The Journey Is Over

We begin the final leg of our journey across Russia in Blagoveshensk, travelling by overnight train to Birobidzhan in the Jewish Autonomous Region. We explore the city’s Jewish history, monuments, synagogue and remaining cultural traces before continuing toward Khabarovsk. We then learn that we have been arrested, convicted and banned from Russia, and we leave the country by crossing the border from Ivangorod into Estonia, bringing our journey across the former Soviet Union to an end.
