The Jungle Tribe (Mexico's Most Remote Culture)

We traveled to Chiapas and drove deep into the Lacandon rainforest to spend time with Lacandon communities, learning about their language, traditions, spirituality, food, and way of life. We explored villages, lakes, caves, and ancient Maya ruins, met local residents, shared meals, and experienced a sunrise on the water. We reflected on how modernization is changing Lacandon culture while appreciating the community’s generosity and their close relationship with the jungle.
