We visit the Long Neck people in northern Thailand and learn about their history as refugees from Myanmar and their traditional brass rings. We discover that the rings create the appearance of elongated necks by compressing the shoulders and torso, and we try wearing one to experience its weight and discomfort. We also learn about the women’s weaving and woodcarving skills, the men’s farming practices, and the rings’ origins in protection, beauty, and fashion.
