The Real Thai Lantern Festival | Authentic Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai, Thailand (Part 1)

We explore Chiang Mai during the Lantern Festival and learn about the difference between Yi Peng and the local Thai festival of Loy Krathong. We make krathongs with schoolchildren, then visit the Old City and unexpectedly discover a beautiful candlelit monk ceremony at a temple. We finish by heading to the river to release our krathong and experience the festival atmosphere.
