We spent 24 hours living with the Embera community in Southern Panama and learned about their traditional body art made from jagua fruit ink. We saw how the men collect the fruit, how the women prepare the ink, and how Lisa creates geometric designs that reflect ancestral traditions and were once connected to shamanic rituals. We also learned that the ink is used today as sunscreen and shampoo, and that Lisa finds happiness in spending time with her family.
