The Ultimate Marriage Test (450 miles on a tandem bicycle)

We travel to Clinton, Iowa, to join RAGBRAI and ride more than 400 miles across the state over seven days, despite having almost no tandem-bike experience. We pedal from town to town, camp each night, and stop for coffee, pie, pork chops, ice cream, corn, and other food along the route. We struggle with the heat, sore bodies, mechanical problems, and exhaustion while trying to stay together and make it to each finish line.
