These People Earn $1 Per Day (Cuba)

We explored neighborhoods around Havana’s historic center and spoke with residents about poverty, recycling work, housing problems, food shortages, and the cost of living. We met Rafael, who earns very little sifting through rubbish, and learned about the hardships faced by other residents, including Sorispin and Ariel, who is homeless and has a serious foot infection. We visited several pharmacies trying to find antibiotics for Ariel, but found none, so we brought him food before returning to the hotel through a severe storm.
