We visit Karakulia Weavers just outside Swakopmund, where sheep wool is dried, washed, spun, dyed, and hand-woven into rugs and carpets. We learn that each piece takes about three weeks to complete and that the workshop has employees who have worked there for decades. We also see how the weavers create their own designs or reproduce photos and sketches provided by customers.
