We arrived in Gambell, Alaska, a remote town just 30 miles from Russia, where we met Wallace, a local who showed us around his village. We explored the unique culture, including whalebone yards and the local jail, and learned about traditional hunting for survival. We then ventured out onto the Bering Sea, where we hunted for birds and learned about the daily life and challenges faced by the Yupik people, before sharing a meal of traditional foods like whale blubber and walrus meat.
