This Country Didn't Have Tv Until 20 Years Ago

We explore television in Bhutan, looking through the available channels at a hotel and seeing mostly Bollywood movies and news stations. We also learn that some Bhutanese do not track their birthdays because they believe living happily matters more than knowing their age. We compare their relaxed way of life with the pressures people face in the United States and conclude that Bhutan’s late introduction of television may not have been such a bad thing.
