This Country Does Not Exist! | Transnistria

We entered Transnistria, a breakaway region with its own passports, currency, flag, army, and police force, and learned about its history after the collapse of the Soviet Union. We explored a Soviet-style bar, rode a rusty amusement-park attraction, and visited an old bus station in Bender. We ate borscht and kompot in a Soviet café, looked around local shops, and reflected on how the region is changing while still preserving much of its Soviet past.
