We explored Havana with our team, riding through the city in vintage cars and visiting its historic plazas, architecture, cigar factory, markets, bookstores, and nightlife at the Tropicana. We learned about Cuba’s old vehicles, fuel shortages, economic hardships, and the effects of its political history and the U.S. embargo. We also visited an ice cream shop that has remained largely unchanged since the 1950s and met Cubans who shared their perspectives on life under the country’s system.
