This Country Was Ready For War!

We travel through Albania from Vlore into the countryside, searching for the bunkers built during Enver Hoxha’s paranoid communist regime. We explore bunkers in the hills, villages, gardens and along roads, while learning about their history and meeting friendly local people. We also cross a dangerously damaged bridge, share beer and rakia with villagers, and reflect on Albania’s past.
