This Is Iran? First Impressions of the Mysterious Country

We flew from snowy Kyiv to Tehran, completed the visa process, and began exploring the city while taking in the hectic traffic and friendly local people. We walked around, ate a large Iranian meal, replaced a microphone, and learned about the confusing exchange rates and inflation caused by sanctions. We also visited a hotel and planned a future 22-hour train journey south to Bandar Abbas and Iran’s islands.
