Tourists Don't Come Here (Stranger's Invitation)

We travel through Transylvania to meet Edith, a 67-year-old woman who walked 1,600 kilometres from northern Germany to Romania and invited us to stay in her remote village home. We explore Viscri and Alțina, meet local people, visit a fifth-generation blacksmith, learn about Transylvanian Saxon history and traditions, and see Edith’s family clothing and historic home. Before leaving, we learn a song together and receive a special gift, reflecting on how accepting an invitation from a stranger can lead to meaningful connections.
