Traveling to a Country that was Closed for 40 Years

We traveled through Albania to learn about its communist past and explore the abandoned bunkers built under Enver Hoxha's regime, including getting tattooed in one of them. We visited remote villages, met welcoming local people, experienced Albanian hospitality, and explored the country's landscapes and traditions. We ended the journey at the castle of Berat, reflecting on Albania's long history and the possible future of its bunkers.
