Truck Camping Alone in the Mountains of Turkey

We drive north through Turkey after a major mechanical breakdown and reach the remote Kackar Mountains, where we camp in snow, mud, wind, and darkness. We explain how we use satellite maps and serendipity to find off-the-beaten-path locations, then visit a mountain village, share tea and food with locals, and experience Turkish hospitality. After deciding not to continue along a dangerous rocky road, we enjoy a traditional Turkish breakfast before continuing our journey.
