Visiting America's Most Remote Town (24 Hours of Darkness)

We travel to Barrow, Alaska, America's northernmost and most isolated town, where we explore the extreme darkness and cold, visit local sites, and learn how people live in such a remote environment. We meet Iñupiat residents, learn about their culture and subsistence hunting traditions, and see how they prepare for life alongside polar bears and walruses. We also travel by snowmobile to Point Barrow, where the extreme cold causes both the camera and snowmobile to fail.
